Annual Postal Sports Calendar for the year 2022-23
The Annual Postal Sports Calendar for the year 2022-23 includes a series of sports events and a cultural meet scheduled to take place from July 2022 to February 2023. The events include weightlifting, powerlifting, and bench pressing in Rajasthan in July; football in Tamil Nadu in August; carrom in Telangana from September 12 to 16; volleyball in Karnataka in September; kabaddi in Himachal Pradesh in September; hockey in Madhya Pradesh in October; chess in Assam in October; wrestling in Haryana in November; table tennis in Uttarakhand in November; cricket in Uttar Pradesh in November; badminton in Odisha in December; athletics and cycling in Kerala in January; basketball in Punjab in February; and a cultural meet in Maharashtra in February. The dates for each event are tentative and subject to change.

Subject: Finalization of Annual Postal Sports Calendar for the year 2022-23 – reg.
Sir/Madam,
Reference is invited to this office letter of even no. dated 28.02.2022, calling for options from the circles for hosting 13 Sports Events and one Cultural Meet.
2. In this regard the Annual sports Calendar has been prepared, keeping in view the following:
(i) All events are to be completed during July 2022 to February 2023 since there is rush of work in the last quarter of the financial year.
(ii) Weather conditions in the Circles hosting the event.
3. The Annual sports Calendar approved by competent authority is at Annexure-A. you are requested to kindly finalize the dates for holding the events and communicate the date(s) by 30.05.2022.
