OFFICE MEMORANDUM
Subject:- Fixation of pay Government servants from one Class I post to another Class I post.
The undersigned is directed to invite a reference to item 17 of this Ministry’s Resolution No.F.11/35/74-IC dated 1-5-1974, accepting the recommendations of the Third Pay Commission contained in para 27 of Chapter 8 in Vol.I of their report to the effect that in all cases of promotions from one Class I post to another Class I post, the pay in the higher scale should be fixed at the stage next above the pay drawn in the lower scale irrespective of whether the lower post was held in a substantive, officiating, or temporary capacity and to say that Government have accepted the aforesaid recommendations of the Commission.
2.The President is accordingly pleased to decide that in respect of all promotions/appointments, from one Class I post to another Class I post carrying higher duties and responsibilities, the pay of the employees will be fixed at the stage next above the pay drawn in the scale of the lower post.
3.These orders shall take effect from 1.11.1973.
4.In relation to the employees serving in the I.A.A.D., these orders are being issued in consultation with C.&A.G.
