OFFICE MEMORANDUM
Subject: Regulation of pay of Officers of Central and state services appointed as Under and Dputy Secretaries to the government of India.
The Undersigned is directed to invite a reference to this Ministry’s Office Memorandum No.F.3 (26) -Est.III/57 dated 4 septmber, 1957 on the subject cited above and to state that the operation of the existing ceiling of Rs.2,000/- per mensem with reference to grade pay and special pay laid down therein has been reviewed recently. taking into account all relevant factors, it has been dicided by the president that in modification of para 2 of the aforesaid office memorandum a uniform ceiling of Rs.2,250/- per mensen should in future apply in cases of office Memorandum while holding the posts of Deputy secretaries to the government of Inida irrespective of the grade of pay in the parent cadre in which the officers might be drawing pay at the time of such appointment or subsequently as a result of benefit of any proforma promotion.
2. The provisions of this Department’s Office Memorandum N.F.2(38) – E.III (A) / 66 dated 23rd Septemper, 1966 will also stand modified accordingly.
