Subject: Issue relating to medical facility extended to retired employees

To mitigate the hardship in availing the medical facility by the retired employees, one of the guidelines issued to the Circle Heads vide letter No.BSNL/Admn.I/15-18/16(i) dated 10.08.2016 was to empanel sufficient number of CGHS approved hospitals on cashless basis and in case the hospitals are reluctant to extend the cashless facility. the circle Heads are requested to ensure that the services are extended by the hospitals on CGHS rates on cash payment.

Due to non availability of sufficient number of CGHS approved hospitals for cashless treatments, Retired Employees Associations have requested for empanelment of renowned private hospitals for treatment on cash basis at CGHS rates.

Circle Heads are requested to ensure empanelment of sufficient number of renowned private hospitals, in addition to CGHS approved hospitals, who can extend the services on CGHS rates on cash payment. Necessary instructions may be issued to all concerned in the circle and action taken on this may be intimated to this office.

This issues with the approval of the Competent Authority.
