In India, the Ministry of Defence, Department of Ex-Servicemen Welfare, operates 34 Rajya Sainik Boards and 409 Zila Sainik Kalyan Boards throughout the nation. These boards address various concerns of ex-servicemen and make decisions accordingly.

Will the Minister of DEFENCE be pleased to state:
(a) the number of Sainik Welfare Boards working across the country, State/UT-wise and the details of issues considered/decisions taken by these boards related to ex-servicemen; and
(b) the number of ex-servicemen registered with the district Sainik Welfare Boards of Haryana, district-wise?

(a): There are 34 Rajya Sainik Boards and 409ZilaSainikKalyan Boards working across the country. The details are at Annexue-I. Responsibilities/functions including details of subjects considered/decisions taken by Sainik Welfare Boards are placed at Annexure-II.
(b): The total number of Ex-servicemen registered in district Sainik Kalyan Boards of Haryana, district Sainik Kalyan Board wise is at Annexure-III.
