Provision of facility of retention of Railway accommodation to AM level(Level16) officers posted outside Delhi
The Railway Board has decided to allow AM level officers (Level-16) posted outside Delhi to retain railway accommodation at their previous place of posting. This decision was made in the interest of the public and in accordance with the powers vested in the Board. The license fee for such retention of railway accommodation will be charged as per the provisions of para-3 of Board’s letter No. E(G) 2021 RN 2-2 dated 01.7.2022. The Finance Directorate of the Ministry of Railways has concurred with this decision. This information was conveyed through RBE No. 37/2023 on February 27, 2023.

In exercise of the powers vested in it to make reasonable relaxations in public interest for a class/group of employees in all or any of the provisions regarding house allotment/retention, the Full Board have decided that AM level officers (Level-16) posted outside Delhi may be permitted to retain railway accommodation at previous place of posting. License fee for such retention of railway accommodation will be charged as per the provisions of para-3 of Board’s letter No.E(G) 2021 RN 2-2 dated 01.7.2022.
2. This issues with the concurrence of the Finance Directorate of the Ministry of Railways.
