No proposal for reduction of pension, says Government
It has come to the notice of the Department of Pension & Pensioners’ Welfare of the Union Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pension that in the wake of the current pandemic, Covid-19 and the ensuing economic scenario, many rumours are afloat that the Government is contemplating a reduction/stoppage of Pension which has become a source of worry for the Pensioners.
As clarified earlier, it is being reiterated that there is no such proposal for reduction of pension and no action is contemplated by the Government in this respect. Instead, the Government is committed for the welfare and well being of the pensioners.

As a legal heir and after submitting all documents I claimed Life time arrears of pension against my mother late Ashima Banerjee Ex wiodow Rly pensioner expired on 16-02-2019, the Sr.Postmaster ,Serampore HPO Hooghly,West Bengal, intentionally with held the said arrears even after due approval from the Rly authority and approved by the GM(PA&F),W.B.Circle…Kolkata-700012 for more than one year…..am a senior citizen aged 67 yrs old facing financial hardship due to my permanent handicapped son and my wife under went major operations ..please save my family at this critical juncture.

Its regretted ti intimate that life time arrears of Pension in respect of my Mother Ashima Banerjee,Widow Rly pensioner expired on 16.2.2019 subsequently claim placed before Sr Postmaster,Serampore HPO submitting all relevant documents as asked for since March 2019 ,Signature verification was also done by IPO ,Chandannagar PO…. but to ill luck and facing financial hardship at critical juncture , a line of reply is yet to be received from disbursing office .Its shame that public money is withheld unnecessarily by the Sr Postmaster Serampore, Hooghly ,West Bengal and defaming the chair of the Post.
