Sub: Facility for downloading of e-Index card and CGHS Plastic Card
As per the instruction of MoHFW, Now Delhi (OM dated 10.02.2021). Pensioners/serving staff will no longer be required to visit the Office of Additional Director to collect the paper Index Card. They themselves download e-Index Card and CGHS Plastic Cards
Procedure to download the e-Index Card and CGHS Plastic Card
On receiving the SMS regarding verification of card application, the beneficiary should be required to go to Beneficiary login’ at www.cgha.nic.in and login acing his Beneficiary ID and Password. An OTP will be sent to the registered Mobile Number as well as Email of the beneficiary for authentication, following which the beneficiary would be able to download the e-index Card and CGHS Plastic Card by themselves.
BSNL Pensioners can also download e-Index Card which contains Bharatkosh Payment details for claiming Refund of CGHS Contribution from BSNL. Signed Paper Index Card will not be issued henceforth.

CGHS PAPER CARD SHALL NOT BE ISSUED W.E.F. 01.04.2022
PENSIONERS CAN USE DOWNLOAD INDEX CARD (e-INDEX CARD) TO AVAIL ALL CGHS FACILITIES IN CGHS UNITS AS WELL AS AT EMPANELLED HOSPITALS AND DIAGNOSTIC CENTRES.
