Subject: Payment of Dearness Allowance to Armed Forces Officers and personnel Below officer Rank including NCs(E) – Revised rates effective from 1st January, 2017.
Sir,
I am directed to refer to this Ministry’s letter No.1(2)/2004/D (Pay/Services) dated 23rd November 2016, on the subject cited above and to say that the president is pleased to decide that the Dearness Allowance payable to Armed Forces Officers and Personnel Below Officer Rank, including Non-combatant (Enrolled), shall be enhanced from the existing rate of 132% to 136% with effect from 1st January,2017.
2. The provisions contained in paras 2,4 and 5 of this Ministry’s letter No.1(2)/2004/D (Pay/Services) dated 25th September 2008 shall continue to be applicable while regulating Dearness Allowance under these orders.
3. This letter issues with the concurrence of Finance Division of this Ministry vide their Dy.No.94-PA dated 17th April, 2017 based on Ministry of Finance (Department of Expenditure) O.M.No.1/3/2008-E.II(B), dated 7th April, 2017.
