Subject: Clarification on disclosure of TA/DA details on the website.
Reference: HQ Office letter No. ANNII/7220/BE 2015-16, dated 06 July 2015.
It has come to notice that on pretext of involvement of some `Secret’/’Strategic’ projects, some of the DAD offices are seeking query from the HQrs Office if they can be exempted from uploading details of their TA/DA expenditure on the website. It is clarified that the Ministry of Defence/Defence Accounts Department is not listed in Schedule II of the RTI Act which enlists the organisations exempted under the Act.
2. Therefore, it is requested to upload the details as directed until a specific instruction for exemption of the information has been issued or available with them, a copy of which may be sent to the undersigned.
