Subject:- 29th meeting of Standing Committee of Voluntary Ageneies(SCOVA) under the chairmanship of Hon’ble MOS(PP)-reg
The 29th meeting of Standing Committee of Voluntary Agencies(SCOVA) of the Department of Pension & Pensioners Welfare is scheduled to he held shortly. The date, time and venue of the meeting will be intimated shortly. The meeting will be chaired by the Hon’ble Minister of State in the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances & Pensions.
2. It is therefore requested to provide the following requisite information through hard copy as well as e-mail:-
(a) Suggest fresh items/issues, if any, for inclusion in the agenda to be discussed for the proposed meeting,. Kindly do not send those agenda items which have already been discussed in the previous SCOVA meetings and on which final decision/action has already been taken. Your response in this regard may please he sent to this Department latest by 5th December, 2016 to enable us to finalise the agenda items. Minutes of the previous SCOVA meetings are available on the website of this Department i.e www.pensionersportal.gov.in
(b) Because of the consideration of space. only one representative of your organisation may attend the above said meeting. Confirmation of participation and the name of the participant may kindly be intimated in advance to the undersigned by fax/e-mail.
3. Outstation members will be paid TA/DA and local members will be paid conveyance charges in accordance with the rules/instructions.

SIR, THE FOLLOING POINT MAY KINDLY BE INCLUED IN YOUR AGENDA
ONE CGHS DISPENSARY (WELLNESS CENTER) IS SANCTIONED TO VISAKHAPATNAM, ANDHRA PRADESH. THE CONSTRUCTION OF BUILDING IN THE PREMISES OF MENTAL HEALTH CARE HOSPITAL IS COMPLETED AND IS STANDING IDLE WEF 15-8-16. IN SPITE OF MY REPEATED LODGING OF GRIEVANCES CGHS, HDERABAD NOR THE MINISTRY OF HEALTH AND FAMILY WELFARE IS GIVING A PROPER AN POSITIVE ANSWER. THE POINTS TO BE DISCUSSED AND THRASHED OUT ARE AS FOLLOWS’
1) SANCTION OF BUDGET;
2) APPROVAL OF LIST CONTAINING THE NAMES OF DOCTORS AND STAFF SUBMITTED BY THE AD,CGHS HYDERABAD
3)INAUGURATION OF THE BUILDING ON EXPEDITIOUS GROUNDS, OR ELSE IT WILL BECOME AN OBSTACLE TO OPENING THE CENTER;
4) IN CASE THE HONOURABLE MINISTER /HIGHER OFFICIALS COULD NOT SPARE THEIR VALUBLE TIME TO INAUGURATE BUILDING, THEY MAY PERMIT THE LOCAL MP ALONG WITH AD, CGHS, HYDERABAD, THE COLLECTOR AND THE CHIEF ENGINEER MAY INAUGURATE THE BUILDING;
5) FINALIZE THE LIST OF DRUGGISTS AND CHEMISTS AVAILABALE IN VISAKHAPATNAM, MANY WELL ESTABLISHD WHOLE SALE DEALERS IN VIZAG;
6) TO PLACE REQUEST TO BSNL TO PROVIDE A DEDICATED OPTIC FIBREGLASS UNDERGROUND CABLE TO PROVIDE PHONES AND INTERNT WITH HIGH SPEED; AND DEPOSIT THE REQUIRED AMOUNT /OR ASK FOR POST PAYMENT AFTER PLACING THE FUNDS WITH THE AD, CGHS HYDRABAD;
7) PROVISION OF NECESSARY INFRASTRUCTURE /PARA FERNALIA FOR THE DOCTORS /STAFF;
8) IF CASE OF DELAY IN PROVIDING IN THE ABOVE, AT LEAST A CHEMIST WITH SUFFICIENT STOCK OF MEDICINES MAY BE POSTED, TO START WITH, FOR DISPENSING THE MEDICINES TO OLD PATIENTS, PENDING POSTING OF OTHER DOCTORS ETC
THIS MAY KINDLY BE STRESSED SO THAT THE CGHS WELLNESS CENTER IN VISAKHAPATNAM WOULD START FUNCTIONING WEF 1ST JANUARY, 2017, IF NOT EARLIER.
