Indian Police Service (Probation) Rules Amended for Training Institutes Designation
The Indian Police Service (Probation) Rules, 1954 have been amended by the Central Government in consultation with State Governments. The new rules allow for institutes designated by the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration to be included as training institutes for probationary Indian Police Service officers. The Director or head of the designated institute will now have the authority to award marks to each probationer based on the results of the examination held at the end of the Foundational Course. This change has been made to enhance the quality of training for Indian Police Service probationers.
