REPLACEMENT OF BER DENTAL CHAIR IN ECHS POLYCLINICS

1. Ref AFMSD Delhi Cantt letter No DLI/DAO/ECHS/02 dated 11 Dec 2017 and SOP on repair and maintenance of med equipment held at ECHS Polyclinic issued vide ECHS Central Org letter No B/49761/AG/ECHS dated 11 Mar 2008.

2. Many ECHS Ployclinics are authorised/holding only one dental chair. In situations when the chair is declared BER and replacement indent is to be placed, the salvage deposit voucher of the chair is to be submitted alongwith the indent. The placing of the indent and issue of new chait takes considerable time.

3. Hence forth, if the BER chair is partially functional and can be utilized to provide basic dental care, the Ployclinic may utilize the chair till a new chair is issued. This would prevent the complete shutdown of the ECHS dental clinic of the concerned ECHS Ployclinic. Dependent AFMSD may accept the indent for replacement of the BER dental chair for processing/initiating procurement process and issue of the chair without the salvage deposit voucher. It will be ensured that OIC Ployclinic deposits the BER dental chair to dependant AFMSD/AFMSD Pune within 15 days of installation of new dental chair with info to SEDO with copy of slvage deposit voucher to be fwd to this HQ.
