Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for processing Joint Declarations for member profile updation in EPFO
The Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO), functioning under the Ministry of Labour & Employment, Government of India, has released a significant communication dated 23rd August 2023. Addressed to multiple entities including ACC (HQ) Zones, ACC Zonal offices, Regional PF Commissioners, and more, the communication introduces a new Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for managing Joint Declarations concerning member profile updates within the EPFO.

Madam/ Sir,
In supersession of all the earlier circulars/guidelines/instructions with respect to member profile updation, the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for processing the Joint Declarations duly approved by the CPFC is being issued and enclosed herewith.
2. The Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) should be followed for the process of handling joint declarations. Anything that is not contained in the current SOP shall be governed by the existing Manual of Accounting Procedure (MAP).
