OFFICE MEMORANDUM
Subject:- Amendment to F.R.9(24) – Presumptive pay of a post.
According to Fundamental Rule 9(24), the “Presumptive pay” of a post includes, at present, the special pay granted inconsideration of the unhealthiness of the locality in which work is performed. In view of the amendment already made in FR 9 (25) under this Ministry’s Notification No.F.6(2)-E.III(B)/68 dated the 30th April, 1968, and decision to treat such special pay as local allowance, it has become necessary to amend FR 9(24) also accordingly.
An advance copy of the Notification suitably amending Fundamental Rule 9(24) is enclosed.
In so far as persons serving in the Indian Audit and Accounts Department are concerned, these orders are being issued in consultation with the Comptroller and Auditor General of India.
