OFFICE MEMORANDUM
Subjcet: Fixation of pay of ex-combatant clerks released from service in the armed forces on appointment as LDCs/Junior Clerks in civil posts.
The undersigned is directed to say that the question of allowing arrears to ex-combatant clerks re-employed as LDCs/Junior clerks in civil posts consequent to notional fixation of pay from 1-1-1956 in accordance with the provisions coptained in this Ministry’s Om.No.4(24)-E.III(A)/68 dated 7-8-70 read with O.M.No.6(8)-E.III/63 dated 19-1-65 has been under consideration and the president is now pleased to decide that in modification of O.M. of 7th August, 1970 arrears may be paid with effect from the Ist January, 1962 or from the date of appointment to a civil postsasLDCs/Junior clerks whichever is later subject to the following conditions:-
i) The employee had been released from the armed forces without pension
ii) The employee is in service on the date of issue of these orders.
2. In so far the persone serving in I.A. & A.D. are concerned, these orders are issued in conaultation with the comptroller and auditor general of india.
