General instructions to Ministries/Departments for acquisition/ purchase of immoveable property other than land in Delhi/NCR
Ministry of Finance, Department of Expenditure, Government of India, outlines general instructions for Central Government Ministries/Departments regarding the acquisition or purchase of immovable properties (such as buildings/flats) in the Delhi/NCR region. These instructions require that any such acquisitions must receive prior concurrence from the Department of Expenditure, regardless of the amount involved. However, the existing provisions still apply to the acquisition, transfer, or alienation of land.

Sub: General instructions to Ministries/Departments for acquisition/ purchase of immoveable property other than land in Delhi/NCR – reg.
Keeping in view ongoing projects and the need to optimize expenditure, the undersigned is directed to inform that any acquisition /purchase of immovable property other than land viz. buildings/flats etc. by Central Government Ministries/Departments in Delhi/NCR region shall be done with prior concurrence of Department of Expenditure regardless of the amount involved. Further, any acquisition / transfer/ alienation of land would continue to be governed by the existing provisions.
