Revision in the rates of Cycle (maintenance) Allowance under SR-25.

 OFFICE MEMORANDUM

 Subject: Revision in the rates of Cycle (maintenance) Allowance under SR-25.

 Consequent upon the acceptance of the recommendations of the Sixth Central Pay Commission and in supersession of this Department OM.No. 19050/4/92 dated 29^th June, 1993, the President is pleased to revise the rate of cycle (maintenance) allowance from Rs.30/- to Rs.60/-per month subject to the provision of SR-25 and orders issued thereunder.

The rate of this allowance will be increased by 25% whenever the Dearness Allowance payable on the revised pay scale goes up by 50%.

These orders will be effective from September 01,2008.

In so far as the staff serving in the Indian Audit and Accounts Department are concerned, these orders are issued in consultation with the Comptroller & Auditor General of India.
