Sub: change of closed Holiday for “Milad-un Nabi or Id-E-Milad (birth day of prophet Mohammad)”from 23.12.2015 (Wednesday) to 24.12.2015 (Thursday) – reg
Please refer to G.O.Ms.No.1351 dated 18.12.2015 issued by the Government of Tamil Nadu, declaring 24.12.2015 (Thursday) as a Public Holiday for “Milad-un Nabi”instead of 23.12.2015 (wednesday). In terms of para 5.2 of DoPT’s Office Memorandum F.Mo.12/5/2014-JCA-2 dated 06.6.2014 read with G.O.Ms.No.1021 dated 20.11.2014 issued by the government of Tamil Nadu, the Central Government Employees welfare co-ordination committee, had earlier vide circular F.No.CGEWCC/2014 dated 01.12.2014, had declared 23.12.2015 (Wednesday) as a closed Holiday for “Milad-un Nabi”.

Now, the Government of Tamil Nadu had changed the Public Holiday from 23.12.2015 (Wednesday) to 24.12.2015 (Thursday) vide G.O.Ms.No.1351 dated 18.12.2015, the closed Holiday for central Government employees is changed to 24.12.2015 (Thursday) in terms of para 5.2 of DoPT’s office memorandum F.No.12/5/2014-JCA-2 dated 06.6.2014
It is requested that wide publicity may be caused to be given to the contents of this letter regarding changes in the closed holiday.
