The central government office can run with 33% staff – Some places
The chief minister of Tamil Nadu announced the intense lockdown in Chennai including nearby towns for 12 days from June 19 to June 30 due to rising cases of novel coronavirus in the state. The decision was taken during a cabinet meeting. A “complete” lockdown not only in Chennai also along with three neighbouring districts. This decision was announced by the CM Edapaadi K Palanisaamy after the recommendation of Health Experts.
State government offices and departments involved in essential work such as health, police, corporation etc., can be opened with 33% of employees. Employees from the containment zone need not to come for work.
Central government employees most places in India already have allowed working with 50% of employees. Due to rapid increase of Corona virus, Central government offices in Tamil Nadu allowed to function only with 33% strength for 12 days from June 19 to June 30. However, the central government offices that perform the essential task will work continuously with the necessary staff.
