Review of periodicity of Induction training imparted to PAs/ SAs
The Ministry of Communications, Government of India, has conducted a review of the periodicity of induction training provided to Postal Assistants (PAs) and Sorting Assistants (SAs). In a recent meeting held at the Directorate to address the backlog of induction trainings across various Postal Training Centers (PTCs) and Regional Training Centers (RTCs), it has been decided by the competent authority that the induction training for Postal Assistants and Sorting Assistants (both Direct Recruitment and Departmental) will have a uniform duration of 8 weeks and 7 weeks, respectively.

Subject: Review of periodicity of Induction training imparted to PAs/ SAs.
With reference to the subject matter, it is informed that a review meeting on backlog of Induction trainings of PA/SA/IP cadre across PTCs/RTCs was held recently at Directorate. After deliberations on the matter, it has now been decided by the competent authority that the Induction Training of Postal Assistants and Sorting Assistants (DR and Departmental) shall be conducted uniformly for 8 weeks and 7 weeks respectively.
- Accordingly, all PTCs/RTCs are requested to make necessary changes in their Annual Training Calendar.
