Central Government Employees Recruited before 22.12.2003 can now be covered under Pension Rules
The Department of Telecommunications, Ministry of Communications, Government of India has issued an Office Memorandum stating that Central Government employees recruited against post/vacancies advertised/notified for recruitment on or before 22.12.2003 can now be covered under the Central Civil Service (Pension) Rules, in place of the National Pension System. This move is in accordance with the DoP&PW OM No. 57/05/2021-P&PW(B) dated 03rd March, 2023. The memorandum is applicable only to Central Government employees.

OFFICE MEMORANDUM
Subject: Circulation of DoP&PW OM No. 57/05/2021-P&PW(B) dated 03rd March, 2023– regarding coverage under Central Civil Service (Pension) Rules, in place of National Pension System, of those Central Government employees who were recruited against the post/vacancies advertised/notified for recruitment, on or before 22.12.2003.
The undersigned is directed to circulate the above mentioned DoP&PW OM to all concerned for information and strict implementation.
