Sub: Accepted recommendations of VI CPC in respect of Special Allowance – Clarification regarding grant of Special Allowance to Nursing Staff working in Operation Theatres/Intensive care Units in the Railway Hospitals – reg.
The demand for payment of special Allowance in favour of Nursing Staff Working in Operation Theatres/Intensive Care Units in the Railway Hospitals was placed before the Railway Ministry by the NFIR. The Railway Ministry after considering the merits of the proposal and on being satisfied had recommended to the Ministry of Finance for Acceptance.
Federation on pursuing with the Railway Ministry and the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, has since been informed that formal proposal in this case has been sent to the Ministry of Finance (Department of Expenditure) for concurrence by Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, sometime in September, 2014 for doubling the rates.
NFIR, therefore, requests the Ministry of Finance to kindly see that the proposal sent by the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare is concurred and conveyed so that formal orders could be issued for payment the rates in favour of Nursing Staff working in operation Theatres/ICUs in Railway Hospitals. Federation may please be kept apprised of the action taken.
