Homeopathic/Ayurvedic dispensaries under SBF

Homeopathic/Ayurvedic dispensaries under SBF

 NFIR

National Federation of India Railwaymen

3, Chelmsford Road, New Delhi – 110 055

 No.I/8 (A/H)

Dated : 16-02-2015

 The Secretary (E),

Railway Board,

New Delhi

Dear Sir,

Sub: Homeopathic/Ayurvedic Dispensaries under Staff Benefit Fund (SBF) – Revision in expenditure – reduction in honorarium – reg.

 Ref: Railway Board’s letter No.E(W)2008/WE-1/10 dated 9th August, 2010 & letter No.E(W)2013/ISM/1 dated 23/07/2014.

Federation desires to invite kind attention of the Railway Board to item (b) of para 2 of Board’s letter dated 09/08/2010 wherein honorarium for Ayurvedic dispensers has been fixed @ of Rs 7100 p.m. This amount of monthly honorarium is applicable to the Ayurvedic dispensers irrespective of their hours of working i.e. 8/4 hours in a day. The Railway Board while considering increase in retirement age, revision of monthly honorarium and other issues relating engagement of Ayurvedic/Homeopathic practitioners under item no.8 have reduced the honorarium for Ayurvedic/Homeopathic dispensers to Rs.5000/- p.m. for 4 hourly working and has increased nominally the honorarium of dispensers (Ayurvedic/Homeopathic) to Rs.7200/- p.m. Federation has been receiving grievances from the Ayurvedic/Homeopathic consultants and dispensers regarding nominal increase on one hand and drastic reduction in the amount of honorarium to Rs.5000/- p.m.

In this connection, NFIR desires to point out that the Federation had never agreed for nominal increase in the rate of honorarium for 8 hourly working and drastic reduction in the rate of honorarium for 4 hourly working. The illogical and incorrect decision taken by the Railway Board is against the interest of Railway employees and the incumbents working as dispenser (Ayurvedic/Homeopathic).

NFIR, therefore, requests the Railway Board to kindly review and issue modified instructions to save staff from the unnecessary recovery. In case Railway Board has divergent views, Federation is willing to discuss the issue with the Railway Board.

 Yours faithfully,

 Sd/-

(Dr. M. Raghavaiah)

General Secretary.
