Sub: Central Civil Services (Revised Pay) Rules, 2016 — opportunity for revision of option to come over to revised pay structure-reg.
Ref: Ministry of Finance (Department of Expenditure) O.M. No. 4-13/17-IC/E-IIIA dated 12th December, 2018.
Attention of affiliated Unions is invited to the demand raised by JCM (Staff Side) in the NC/JCM Standing Committee Meeting, urging upon the Government to grant permission to opt for pay re-fixation in the revised pay structure after the date of issue of CCS (RP) Rules, 2016 and notification dated 25/07/2016. The subject was again discussed in the Standing Committee Meeting of National Council of JCM on 3rd May, 2017 and thereafter. Consequently, the Ministry of Finance vide O.M. No.4-13/17-IC/E-IIIA dated 12th December, 2018 has granted re-option opportunity to the staff within 90 days from the date of issuance of said O.M. Copy of O.M. is enclosed.
The affiliated Unions are therefore advised to give wide publicity and see that employees avail the opportunity granted by Ministry of Finance duly exercising re-option to switch over to 7th CPC pay level to a date which is advantageous to them.
