Responding to NFIR’s communication vide letter dated 18/02/2019 relating to grant of Hospital Patient Care Allowance (HPCA) & Patient Care Allowance (PCA) to Group ‘C’ & erstwhile Group ‘D’ employees working in Railway Hospitals & Health Units/Clinics (NFIR’s PNM Item No. 12/2016), the Railway Board vide letter dated 08/03/2019 [ref (x) above], conveyed that the issue for grant of HPCA/PCA based on recommendations of 7th CPC as accepted by the Government is under consideration and necessary instructions as per Board’s decision would be issued. Federation feels disappointed that thereafter period of over two months has since passed, unfortunately instructions are yet to be issued by the Railway Board.
NFIR, therefore once again requests the Railway Board to issue instructions to the Zonal Railways etc., covering the remaining categories for payment of Hospital Patient Care Allowance and Patient Care Allowance as has been allowed to the categories in other Central Government Hospitals duly endorsing copy to the Federation.
