Sub: Need for restoration of discontinued Allowances — Daily Officiating Allowance to staff in Railways-reg.
Ref: (i) NFIR’s PNM Item No.13/2018.
(ii) Railway Board’s letter No.E(P&A)I-2011/FE-4/1 dated 04/07/2016.
(iii) Railway Board’s letter No. E(P&A)I-2011/FE-4/1 dated 05/09/2017.
(iv) NFIR’s letter No. I/5(g)/Part VI dated 13/10/2017.
During NFIR’s PNM meeting held with the Railway Board on 25th/26th April, 2019, though the subject could not be discussed due to shortage of time, the Official Side through Action Taken Statement conveyed that a proposal for restoration of Daily Officiating Allowance has been forwarded to MoF on 07/02/019 for their concurrence.
In order to pursue the case at the level of Ministry of Finance, Federation desires to have copy of proposal dated 07/02/2019.
NFIR, therefore, requests the Railway Board to make available copy of Railway Ministry’s proposal dated 07/02/2019 sent to Ministry of Finance to get the matter expedited.
