Dear Sir,
Sub: Payment of Over Time Allowance to the JEs (AC) performing running/maintenance duties on Rajdhani/Shatabdi Trains – reg.
Ref: (i) GM (P), E, Rly’s letter No.E.740/0/Misc (Policy) dated 04–05-2017 to Railway Board.
(ii) NFIR’s letter No.I/8/Part I dated 24-05-2017.
Federation vide its letter dated 24-05-2017 brought to the notice of Railway Board a case of Eastern Railway where the Junior Engineers (AC) in GP 4200/Level 6 of 7th CPC when deployed to Escort Rajdhani/shatabdi Trains with the team of other staff for ensuring safe and efficient running maintenance are denied payment of Over Time Allowance.
In this connection, NFIR once again cites the reference made by the General Manager (P), Eastern Railway to the Railway Board vide letter dated 04-05-2017. Though more than three months passed, unfortunately neither clarification instructions have been issued to Eastern Railway allowing payment of Over Time to the JEs (AC) nor Federation apprised on the progress of the case.
while enclosing copy of Federation’s letter dated 24-05-2017 and Eastern Railway’s letter dated 04-05-2017, NFIR once again urges upon the Railway Board to accord approval for payment of Over Time Allowance to the JEs of Electrical Department escorting Rajdhani/Shatabdi Express Trains early. A copy of the instructions issued may be endorsed to the Federation.
