Sub: Recognition of Corporate Hospitals for referral facility for treatment of railway employees & Recognition of corporate Hospitals for the purpose of referring the cases for medical treatment – delegation of powers to the GMs-reg.
Ref: NFIR’s PNM Item No.7/2014 & 22/2015
During NFIR’s PNM meeting held with the Railway Board on 10th & 11th April 2015, the official side conveyed position relating to the pending nine proposals received from different zones seeking Board’s sanction for recognition of Corporate Hospitals for referral facility for treatment of Railway employees (annexure to PNM Item No.22/2015) In the subsequent PNM meeting of NFIR held with the Railway Board on 8th/9th October 2015, the Official side conveyed that the General Managers are being empowered to recognize Hospitals already empanelled under CGHS and proposed to CLOSE the item.
On checking the position in the field, federation has come to know that the cases shown at item no.3 to 7 of the list provided to the NFIR during PNM meeting held on 10th/11th April, 2015. are still pending in Board’s Office and sanction has not been accorded as yet and the railway employees continue to suffer for want of adequate medical help.
NFIR, therefore, requests the Railway Board to take immediate action for implementing the assurance given to the Federation in the PNM meeting, Action taken on the issues may be advised to the Federation.
