No.IV/NFIR/RB-21/78

Dated: 11/01/2021

The Secretary (E),
Railway Board,
New Delhi

Dear Sir,

Sub: Unjustified and arbitrary enhancement of per capita charges for medical attendance and treatment of staff and their family members employed in Quasi Administrative Offices/Units, Cooperative Credit Societies and Banks etc.,-reg.

Ref: (i) Railway Board’s letter No.2003/H-1/2/2 dated 27/05/2016 addressed to GMs etc.
       (ii) NFIR’s letter No.IV/NFIR/RB-21/78 dated 11/08/2016 & 20/04/2017.
(iii) Railway Board’s letter No.2003/H-1/2/2 dated 27/05/2016… latest reminder being dated 28/1/2019 to Zonal Railways.
      (iv) NFIR’s letter No. IV/NFIR/RB-21/78 dated 23/04/2019 & 21/10/2019.

Railway Board’s kind attention is invited to NFIR’s letters cited under reference wherein Federation had requested for removal of per capita charges for medical attendance and treatment of Quasi Administrative Unit Staff (with family members) as has been allowed in the case of Licensed Sahayaks and their family members thus applying Railway Board’s instructions issued vide RBE No. 11/2011 dated 27/01/2011. But sadly, there has been no response though a period of over one year passed.

While enclosing copies of Federation’s letters dated 11/08/2016, 23/04/2019 and 21/10/2019, once again NFIR requests the Railway Board to kindly consider merits in the proposal and issue instructions to the Zonal Railways etc., for extending medical facilities to the staff working in Quasi Administrative Offices/Units, Co-operative Credit Societies and Banks etc., at par with the Licensed Sahayaks duly amending Railway Medical Rules accordingly.

A copy of the instructions issued may be endorsed to the Federation.

Ends: NFIR’s letters dated 11/08/2016, 23/04/2019 & 21/10/2019.

Yours faithfully

(Dr.M.Raghavaiah)
General Secretary
