A delegation of 05 members of NEXCC central committee consisting of Vice Chairman Mr. VS John, Secretary General Mr. VN Mishra, North Zone Chairman Mr. LR Mattu, Delhi State secretary Mr. Vilas Rai and Haryana State Secretary Mr. VP Rathi met the Defense Minister Mr. Manohar Parikar in his south Block office New Delhi on 18 Mar 15 at 1130 hrs to discuss the problems of ESM in civil life and implementation of One Rank One Pension issue.
The Defense Minister heard the points very patiently and assured full help to the PBOR. He also confirmed that he is aware of the points submitted by us. He also given an assurance he will call our team in the first week of next month to discuss the points in details. The delegation was assured by the Defense Minister that the issue of OROP is at the final stage and orders are being issued very shortly by MOD.
The effective date of OROP is 1-4-14 and the arrears of this period will be disbursed in equal four installment w.e.f. 1.5.15. total of the 86% amount will be paid to the PBOR. The proposed new pension structure has been shown to the delegation.
Other Points discussed:
1. ECHS room facilities in hospital of all irrespective of ranks
2. Pay parity in MSP structure
3. Representation of PBOR in DGR, KSB, RSB and ZSB.
4. Formation of New ECHS in Harayana In view of the assurance given by the Defense Minister on 18 Mar 15 in his office for implementation of OROP with in 2 months time i.e. March and April. the recommendation of the OROP has been forwarded to Ministry of Defense (expenditure) on 25 Feb 15 and likely to get back with in a week time, Hence our schedule for the CEC on 5th April, 2015 and relay hunger strike w.e.f. 6 april, 2015 is hereby deferred.
