Admin January 4, 2024

Guidelines for monitoring progress of court cases handled by Prosecution Cadre

The Ministry of Railways, in accordance with a 1997 High Court judgment, has separated the Prosecution Cadre from the Railway Protection Force (R.P.F.). To enhance coordination, the ministry recommends regular meetings between Public Prosecutors, Senior Public Prosecutors, Senior Divisional Security Commissioners, and Additional Divisional Railway Managers. Additionally, a revised reporting structure is proposed for the Prosecution Cadre, aiming to address observed inconsistencies across different zones.
