Revised entitlement of Hospital Wards for Railway Medical beneficiaries in Railway empanelled Hospitals
The Government of India, Ministry of Railways, Railway Board, has revised the entitlement of hospital wards for railway medical beneficiaries in railway empanelled hospitals. This decision comes after consideration of revised guidelines from the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare and consultation with the Finance Directorate of the Ministry of Railways.

Sub:- Revised entitlement of Hospital Wards for Railway Medical beneficiaries in Railway empanelled Hospitals.
Ref:- Railway Board’s letter of even no. dated 20.11.2023.
The issue of revision of entitlement of wards in Railway empanelled hospitals for Railway medical beneficiaries as contained in Para 5 of Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) circulated vide Board’s letter of even no. dated 20.11.2023 has been under consideration of this Ministry.
Keeping in view the revised guidelines circulated by M/o Health & Family Welfare, the matter has been examined in consultation with Finance Directorate of this Ministry and it has been decided that revised criteria for entitlement of wards in Railway empanelled hospital for Railway medical beneficiaries will be as under:

1. | Upto ₹ 36,500/- | General Ward |
2. | ₹ 36,501/- to ₹ 50,500/- | Semi-Private Ward |
3. | Above ₹ 50,500/- | Private Ward |
This issues with the concurrence of the Finance Directorate of the Ministry of Railways.
