Sub:Revision of Kilometrage Allowance rates w.e.f. 1st July, 2017 — non-payment of arrears of KMA to Running Staff on N.E.Railway on the pretext of non-allotment of funds-reg.
Ref: (i) Railway Board’s letter No. E(P&A)II-2013/RS-14 dated 28/05/2019 (RBE No. 85/2019).
(ii) NFIR’ s letter No. IV/RSAC/2018 dated 07/11/2019.
Kind attention is invited to Federation’s letter of even number dated 07/11/2019 addressed to CRB and copy sent to FC & MS, Railway Board with regard to non-payment of arrears of KMA to the Running Staff on North Eastern Railway.
Representations received today reveal that the arrears of KMA to Running Staff have also not yet been paid on SECR and ECoR on the plea that allocation of funds has not been made by the Railway Board.
NFIR, therefore, requests the FC to kindly intervene and see that adequate funds are provided immediately to enable the Zonal Railways to make payment of Kilometrage Allowance arrears to the Running Staff. Incidentally, it is mentioned that the Railway Board have issued orders revising the rates of KMA on 28th May, 2019, giving effect from July 1, 2017 and though nearly five months passed from the date of issuance of orders, arrears payment not done on some Zonal Railways.
