Thanks to “Central Government Employees News” for providing up to date Govt. orders, for pensionary benefits, salary and allowances etc. In addition to enhancement of Medical Relief (Allowance) of Rs. 1000/- pm to the central Govt. pensioners, the following relives may also be allowed.
(a) Rs. 1000/- pm Medical Allowance i.e. Rs. 12000/- per year is included in total earnings of a financial year for which pensioners are liable to pay Income Tax. in this view Govt. may allow all the pensioners to get relief from Income Tax on this medical allowance.
(b) Hundreds of thousands Pensioners/ Family Pensioners neither they are enrolled with “CGHS nor are being paid Medical Allowance with their pension. Most of them do not know how to avail CGHS facility or to get Medical Allowance with their pension. So, Govt. may seek option from these category of pensioners either one to avail.
