Sub: Revision of designations of erstwhile Group ‘C’ Nursing Staff.
The Railway Board have had under review designations of Group ‘C’ Nursing staff in the Railways to make these gender-neutral. Discussion with both staff Federations (AIR & NFIR) have also been held in the matter. Accordingly, it has now been decided to revise the designations of Group ‘C’ Nursing Staff as under:-

The revised designation as mentioned above, will not entail any change in the pay scale, duties & responsibilities, mode of recruitment, level of supervision, selection procedure, eligibility conditions prescribed for the posts or in the avenue of promotion. The percentage distribution of posts will also remain unchaged by the revision of the above designations.
