ABSTRACT
PENSION – Dearness Allowance to the Ex-gratia beneficiaries – Sanction Revised rate admissible from 1st July 2022 – Orders – Issued.
Read the following:-

ORDER:
In the Government Order first read above, orders were issued sanctioning the enhanced rate of Dearness Allowance @ 360% with effect from 1st January, 2022 to the widows and dependent children of the deceased Contributory Provident Fund / Non-Pensionable Establishment beneficiaries of State Government and the former District Board employees who are in receipt of Ex-gratia payment of Rs.605/- p.m. and revised to Rs.645/- p.m. with effect from 4th June 2013.
2. In the Office Memorandum second read above, the Government of India has enhanced the Dearness Relief to the widows and dependent children of the deceased Contributory Provident Fund beneficiaries who are in receipt of Ex-gratia payment of Rs.645/- p.m. from 360% to 373% with effect from 1st January, 2022.
3. In the Government Order third read above, orders were issued revising the rates of Dearness Allowance payable to the State Government Pensioners/ Family Pensioners from 31 per cent to 34 per cent with effect from 1st July 2022 and it was ordered among others, that the Dearness Allowance to the widows and dependent children of the deceased Contributory Provident Fund / Non-Pensionable Establishment beneficiaries of State Government and the former District Board employees who are in receipt of Ex-gratia payment will be sanctioned separately.
4. Following the orders issued in the references second and third read above, the Government sanction the revised rate of Dearness Allowance to the widows and dependent children of the deceased Contributory Provident Fund / Non-Pensionable Establishment beneficiaries of State Government and the former District Board beneficiaries who are in receipt of Ex-gratia payment of Rs.645/- p.m. as indicated below:-

5. The Government also direct that the arrears of Dearness Allowance at the rate ordered in para-4 above shall be paid with effect from 1st July, 2022 to the widows and dependent children of the deceased Contributory Provident Fund / Non-Pensionable Establishment beneficiaries of State Government and the former District Board beneficiaries who are in receipt of Ex-gratia payment of Rs.645/- p.m.
6. The expenditure on Dearness Allowance payable to those who are in receipt of Ex-gratia payment of Rs.645/-p.m. shall be debited to the following Head of Account:

7. Pending formal authorization by the Principal Accountant General, the revised Dearness Allowance shall be paid straightaway by the Pension Pay Officer, Chennai-35 and Treasury Officers / Sub-Treasury Officers concerned.
