ABSTRACT
PENSION – Dearness Allowance to the Ex-gratia beneficiaries – Sanction -Orders – Issued.

 

ORDER:

In the Government Order first read above, orders were issued sanctioning the enhanced rate of Dearness Allowance @ 175% with effect from 1st July 2013 to the widows and dependent children of the deceasedContributory Provident Fund / Non-Pensionable Establishment beneficiaries of State Government and the former District Board employees who are in receipt of Ex-gratia payment of Rs.645/- p.m.

2. In the Government Orders second to fourth read above, it was sanctioned that the Dearness Allowance to the widows and dependent children of the deceased Contributory Provident Fund / Non-Pensionable Establishment beneficiaries of State Government and the former District Board employees who are in receipt of Ex-gratia payment will be sanctioned separately.

3. In the three Office Memorandum fifth to seventh read above, the Government of India has enhanced the Dearness Relief to the widows and dependent children of the deceased Contributory Provident Fund beneficiaries who are in receipt of Ex-gratia payment of Rs.645/- @ 192% with effect from 1st January, 2014, @ 204% with effect from 1st July, 2014 and @ 215% with effect from 1st January, 2015 respectively.

4. Following the orders issued by the Government of India, the Government has now decided to sanction the enhanced rate of Dearness Allowance with effect from 1st January, 2014 to the widows and dependent children of the deceased Contributory Provident Fund / Non-Pensionable Establishment beneficiaries of State Government and the former District Board beneficiaries who are in receipt of Ex-gratia payment of Rs.645/-. Accordingly, the Government sanction the revised rate of Dearness Allowance to the widows and dependent children of the deceased Contributory Provident Fund / Non-Pensionable Establishment beneficiaries of State Government and the former District Board beneficiaries who are in receipt of Ex-gratia payment of Rs.605/- p.m. and revised to Rs.645/- p.m. with effect from 4th June, 2013 as indicated below:-

5. The Government also direct that the arrears of Dearness Allowance at the rates ordered in para-3 above shall be paid with effect from the respective date of revisions i.e. 1st January, 2014, 1st July, 2014 and 1st January, 2015 to the widows and dependent children of the deceased Contributory Provident Fund / Non-Pensionable Establishment beneficiaries of State Government and the former District Board beneficiaries who are in receipt of Ex-gratia payment of Rs.605/- p.m. and revised to Rs.645/- p.m. with effect from 4th June, 2013.

6. The expenditure on Dearness Allowance payable to those who are in receipt of Ex-gratia payment of Rs.645/- shall be debited to the following Heads of Account respectively:

“2071. Pension and Other Retirement Benefits – 01. Civil – 800. Other Expenditure – I. Non-Plan – AH. Ex-gratia payment to families of deceased – Non Provincialised Employees – Contributory Provident Fund – 27. Pension – 09. Others (D.P. Code 2071 01 800 AH 2795)”

7. Pending formal authorisation by the Principal Accountant General, the revised Dearness Allowance shall be paid straightaway by the Pension Pay Officer, Chennai-6, Treasury Officers/Sub-Treasury Officers and Public Sector Banks concerned.
