Subject: Clarification regarding Interim Relief.
Sir,
I am directed to refer to the subject cited above and to say that clarification is being sought by various departments relating to grant of Interim Relief to such re-employed pensioners who have been appointed in regular pay scales with due procedure. The Interim relief has been granted @5% of basic pay (pay in the pay Band + Grade Pay) to the regular employees of the State Government and pensioners w.e.f. 01-08-2016 vide O.M. No. Fin(RR)B(7)-1/2016 dated 2nd August, 2016 and Fin(Pen)B(10)-6/98-III dated 2nd August, 2016.
It has been decided that in those cases where the incumbent is a pensioner and appointment against a post has been made in a proper pay scale and the annual increment is paid, the Interim relief will be admissible to them as per O.M. Fin(PR)B(7)-1/2016 dated 02-08-2016. However, it will not be admissible to them on pension.
These instruction may be brought to the notice of all concerned.
