Subject:- Release of pensionary benefits timely to the retiring Government employees on retirement.
Sir/Madam,
I am directed to invite your attention to the instructions issued by this Department vide letters No. 68/2/2001/FD/Pension/SAP dated 10.10.2006 and No. 68/2/2001-3Pension(FD) dated 18.06.2012 and 29.08.2012 on the subject cited above.
It has been observed that though instructions have been issued by State Government from time to time, some departments are not sending the pension cases of retiree Government employees timely. Due to this, the pension cases are delayed unnecessarily.
Now, after due consideration, it has been again desired that it be ensured that all pensionary benefits to retiree Govt, employees be released timely after completing all formalities as per rules. Any delay whatsoever for releasing pensionary benefits will be viewed seriously and concerned officer/official(s) who are at fault, may be held responsible for this lapse.
So, you are, therefore, requested that the above instructions be conveyed to all officers/officials dealing with pension cases for strict compliance.
