Subject : Awareness Campaign for NPS Subscribers- Regarding.
Madam/Sir,
Under the provisions of New Pension System, investment of funds, allowing withdrawal, payment of partial funds at the time of retirement to NPS subscriber and purchase of annuity etc. is being looked after by National Securities Depository Limited (NSDL)/Central Record Keeping Agency (CRA) in terms of procedure laid down by Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority (PFR.DA), The role of KVS is limited to the extent of uploading of NPS data on NSDL website, transfer of funds to the trustee banker and verification of employee’s credentials through PAO etc
2. In the above mentioned scenario, NPS subscribers have also to remain vigilant and to ensure that his/her contribution (Own share + Management share) has been correctly uploaded and reflected by the system. National Pension System (NPS) subscribers are hereby again advised to update their personal information (if not already updated) including mobile no., E mail ID, address and nomination details etc. by filling up Form S-2. The registered NPS subscribers have been receiving messages on their mobile as regards to uploading of monthly NPS subscription and they can also access complete details of NPS subscriptions right from inception, funds invested by different investmen’t bankers from time to time and Net Asset Value of their corpus. The NSDL mechanism provides for rectification of mistake at the level of PAOs/DDOs. The discrepancy, if any, observed by NPS subscribers may please be brought to the notice of respective PA0s/DDOs at the earliest.
3. Recently new teachers/staff have also joined the service, they are advised to fill up Form No S-1,so that permanent Retirement Account Number (PRAN) may be allotted by NSDL without any delay.
4. Further, NPS subscribers are requested to visit the web site of PFRDA and CRA from time to time to update thenselves as regards to investment of theirpension funds.
