The Secretary (E),
Railway Board,
New Delhi
Dear Sir,
Sub: Revision of pension of pre-2006 pensioners who retired from 5th CPC Scale of Rs. 6500-10500-reg.
Ref: (i) Railway Board’s letter No.F(E)III/2008/PN1/12 dated 04/02/2019.
(ii) NFIR’s PNM Agenda Item No. 28 sent to Railway Board on 29thMay,2019.
(iii) Railway Board’s O.M.No.2016/F(E)III/1(1)/7 dated 24/10/2019 to the Ministry of Pensioners, Public Grievances & Pension (Department of Pension & Pensioners Welfare).
(iv) Railway Board’s reply vide letter No.2016/F(E)111/1)1)/7 dated 11/11/2019 to GS/NFIR.
Kind attention is invited to the references cited above on the issue relating to revision of pension of pre-2006 pensioners who retired from 5th CPC Scale of Rs. 6500-10500 and issuance of correct concordance tables for revising the pension.
Although Railway Ministry sought clarification from DoP&PW vide Memorandum dated 24/10/2019, it seems, there has been no progress even after lapse of six months. The delay in issuing correct concordance tables for revising the pension of those who were pay 6500-10500 and retired, has been causing disappointment among the pensioners.
In the NFIR’s PNM Agenda Item No. 28, the case of the pensioners of pay scale 6500-10500 has been explained in detail, hoping that the Railway Ministry would settle the issue. It is however sad that the matter remains pending without finality.
NFIR again requests the Railway Board to kindly look into the matter on priority and take necessary action for issuance of correct concordance tables for the purpose of revising the pension of those pensioners of 5th CPC pay scale 6500-10500 duly granting benefit of notional pay fixation and pension in GP 4600+PB-2 (6th CPC).
Yours faithfully
(Dr.M.Raghavaiah)
General Secretary
