Sir, I retired from ASC(South) Bangalore on 31 Oct 2008 (AN) to the rank of Sub Major & Hony Lt. after rendering 31 Years 6 months and 19 days service. My point is that since Sub Major granted Hony Lt who put more than 31 years of service, have been awarded same OROP as a Sub who put 27 to 30 years of service. In this OROP formula, length of service has not been considered. Same OROP benefit are being paid to both which create a litigation amongst veterans. Length of service must be considered while formulation of OROP.

Dear Sir,
My qualifying service is 17 years. My rank during the time of retirement was Naik(TS). my date of birth is 30/10/1956.. Year of retirement is 1994. My group during my service time is “C”. The basic pension during my retirement is 448. Please let me know the revised pension and the total amount of arrears I can get.

1. As per orop table service is increasing but pension is not increasing. It seems that Table is made blindly. There should be some formula if service increasing then pension should have also been increased.
2. Benefits is not being given as per service rendered in the army. A Sub Maj Hony Lt who served for above 33 years in the Army but orop is being given for 30 years of service. This is quite un-justice with the Hony rank. This is done by the PCDA (P) knowingly. As per rules there is no terms of engagement of Hony Ranks in any the Army. . This is a matter of clarification.
3. This is called One rank one pension, but many pensioners still drawing more pension. Saying those who drawing more pension from the OROP table they will continue to draw more pension is not justice. This is correct that their pension can not be reduced as per rule to the pension as mentioned in the table, but pension of those who drawing less may be increased equal to those who drawing more than the pension mentioned in the table..

In OROP what Modi Ji has given to Ex Servicemen, is a sacred and unforgettable gift to us and our families. We shall remain indebted and grateful to Modi Ji for this for our seven generations. We had been neglected and betrayed for the last forty years by our previous governments. We wholeheartedly appreciate broadmindedness and the Vision of Modi Ji and pray Almighty to bless Modi Ji with 125 years long life so that India can become Number One Country in the world with his Vision
